Longarm Machine

This is my KISA machine - my Knight In Shining Armour!

His name is King Arthur, or ARTY for short.

He is a Nolting Pro Series 24 machine, which means that the throat space (between the needle and the motor housing at the back) is 24 inches - which gives me a LOT of machine quilting space.

He has a built in IntelliStitch regulator, which is there to help keep my quilting stitches nice and even.  It doesn't mean that I just load the quilt, switch him on and off he goes!  To produce the quilting designs I *drive* the machine over the fabric, drawing the quilting lines with the thread as I work.  It is a very creative, enjoyable process and there are so many different ways to play that - quilting is never boring J

I also have several accessories for Arty, to help me produce many different quilting designs.  These include all-over pantograph patterns - leaves, flowers, butterflies, popcorn etc - various shapes and sizes of meandering stitches, edge to edge clamshells, individual spirals and spirograph type shapes for smaller areas....... and many more.  Combining different techniques means that I can work an infinite number of designs to suit different quilts.

Arty and I look forward to working with you to transform your patchwork and fabrics into a delightful quilt to snuggle under or to proudly hang on your wall J
