Exquisite CRAZY QUILTING !
Crazy quilting became popular during Victorian times and was used as a status symbol to show off a lady's needlework skills and prestige of her family. Only a family of reasonable wealth could afford the fabulous silks and satins and other exotic fabrics which were newly imported from the East. Crazy Quilting is experiencing an exciting revival today. With the wealth of fine fabrics and wide variety of threads and embellishments now on the market, our creative skills can be given full reign. Mix cottons with silks and velvets, use threads and silk ribbons for embroidery, add lace and buttons and beads for embellishment .......... Whatever works for you - you can use! Because in Crazy Quilting - there are No Rules! If you would like to learn How - come and join us at the Workshops. Beginners and more experienced stitchers are very welcome
